I believe the welfare state can be a good thing. Some social network that gets you back on your feed. On the other hand, Portugal has very little welfare and government hand-outs. Because of this, Portugal has one of the lowest migration of Muslim "refugees". I prefer people who bring value as an immigrant to a country. The father of the guy who made the Strasbourg terrorists attack has been living on 5400 Euros a month welfare payments.
