I just downloaded Clubhouse since it is now available for Android. I've been waiting for the Android release with anticipation since I have a lot of friends that talked about the app a lot several months ago.
As I went through the registration process, and was asked to select some interests. I thought those would be used to recommend rooms or something.
Once I was registered and in the app the first recommendation was a room for Israeli and Palestinian discussion, the second was for Black Business Owners and the third was some sort of Pizza Crypto Coin party that honestly looked like a scam or something.
The first 2 room topics are cool, but I identify with none of the groups that those rooms were created for (I'm not Israeli, Palestinian or Black). I also did not select anything related to crypto in my interests when signing up.
Given the recommendations, I thought they must not have those figured out yet. No problem, I can search for rooms of interest right? When searching though, it seems I can only find people and "clubs" not active rooms. None of my 200+ friends are active on the app as far as I can tell.
Is this it? Am I using it wrong or was this really what everyone was so stoked about? Perhaps I am late to this party and it's already ended?
